Her projects involved hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of burned watersheds in the western U.S., large basin-scale modeling and technology transfer to countries in the La Plata River Basin in South America, and studies of the hydrodynamic effects of aquatic vegetation in reservoirs. Her previous experience also includes physical modeling of the Lower Mississippi River, evaluating in-stream macroinvertebrates to create pollution tolerance indexes, and sediment transport analyses of rivers and coasts. Ecological engineering is her primary focus and passion, including ecosystem restoration and design.
