Olivia Vito is an Environmental Scientist specializing in geospatial analysis, watershed-scale geomorphic assessment, fish passage, and data management. She holds a Master’s in Natural Resources with a graduate certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Oregon State University and a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Forest Ecology from James Madison University.
Her interest in environmental sciences stems from a desire to give back by restoring natural spaces, particularly at the land-water margin where so many of our planet’s species thrive. Her academic interests are focused on remote sensing analysis, image classification, and photogrammetry – especially staying up to date on the latest cutting edge tools and automation techniques.
Olivia designs and implements a variety of field monitoring and spatial analysis techniques for characterizing watershed conditions, riparian forest health, aquatic habitat quality, and fish passage issues and solutions. She also has experience in project management, design team collaboration, and construction oversight.
