Mike is a Project Geomorphologist specializing in geomorphic, hydraulic and hydrologic assessments, and in the design and construction supervision of river restoration projects. His specialty is evaluating geomorphic processes as they relate to flooding, erosion, and the creation and restoration of aquatic habitats. For the past six years, Mike has performed watershed scale and site-specific geomorphic assessments and designed channel and floodplain restoration projects throughout the Western United States. He holds an MS in earth science and BS in geology, and is a Licensed Geologist in Washington state. When not at work, he enjoys traveling and spending time on the water.
