Liz Vasquez is an Engineer-in-Training with expertise in 1-D and 2-D hydraulic modeling, AutoCAD/Civil 3D design, topographic and bathymetric surveying, and aerial photogrammetry.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of San Diego, where she focused on the impacts of climate change on freshwater macroinvertebrates in desert streams. After working for two years for an environmental education non-profit in the Columbia Gorge, she completed her Master’s in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Washington.
Liz is passionate about restoring rivers, reconnecting floodplains, and enhancing fish passage throughout the Northwest. She loves having a career where she can work outside in beautiful forests and streams and collaborate across disciplines to design resilient natural systems.
Liz is excited to bring her skills and passion to the NSD team in Seattle!
