Laura Zanetto
Project Scientist

A west coast native and lover of all things above tree line, Laura has lived in Washington, Oregon, and California, backpacking her way through the west’s great mountain ranges. She studied landscape architecture at the University of Oregon (go Ducks!) where she focused on science-based ecological design. This focus on restoring ecosystem function related to water resources in the Pacific Northwest brought her to NSD as a Project Scientist where she provides a wide range of technical support for river restoration and habitat enhancement projects. Professionally, she has managed and contributed to a variety of projects, providing design and drafting, construction oversight, technical analysis and writing, wetland delineation and functional assessment, mitigation planning, and federal, state, and local regulatory compliance.
