NSD + CGS has completed coastal restoration projects in all Puget Sound counties. We focus on restoring coastal processes and recreating or enhancing nearshore habitats by removing failing or unnecessary shore armor and other structures, placement of beach nourishment and other soft shore/nature-based techniques (see related service page), and native vegetation installations.
We are involved in every project stage — identification, prioritization, assessment, feasibility, design, construction oversight, and monitoring. Our expansive experience and knowledge of regional coastal mapping and restoration prioritization projects helps us streamline site assessment and feasibility analysis.
