Senior Level
We are seeking a full-time senior level Water Resources Engineer, Geomorphologist, or Scientist who has a strong background in managing and delivering multi-objective projects. This role blends technical leadership with project management responsibility, including scope, schedule, budget, team coordination, and client relationship management. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable leading technical analyses and designs as they are driving projects forward and ensuring successful delivery.
Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk
Mid-Level
The Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk supports Natural Systems Design’s accounting department, with a primary focus on preparing accurate, timely project invoices for clients. This role works closely with project managers and accounting staff to gather billing information, resolve questions, and deliver invoices that meet client and contract requirements. Additionally, this role will support the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices. The position also assists with routine accounting and administrative tasks.
NSD currently uses Deltek Ajera and plans to transition to Deltek Vantagepoint in the first quarter of 2027. The successful candidate will learn invoicing in Ajera, participate in training and testing for Vantagepoint, and adapt to the new system alongside the accounting department.
Coastal Engineer
Project-Level
We are seeking a full-time Project Level Coastal Engineer. Our Project level engineers typically have 5 to 10 years of experience. The successful candidate will have strong proficiency in engineering analysis and design focused on beaches, nearshore ecosystems, coasts, estuaries, and developed waterfronts.
We are currently using a hybrid model of in-office and remote work. For this position, our preferred candidate is located near one of our three office locations and a commutable distance to field work in the Puget Sound region. However, the days you come into the office and the days you work from home are always up to you.
PROJECT COORDINATOR
Mid-Level
We are seeking a Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of our river, floodplain, watershed, and coastal restoration projects. The Project Coordinator works closely with Project Managers (PMs) and project teams to coordinate the administrative and financial accounting aspects of projects, allowing PMs and technical staff to focus more of their time on project management, client relationships, and technical work. The position will also support company-wide project management systems, resource scheduling, and workload forecasting.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to anticipate what PMs, technical staff, and project teams need to keep work moving efficiently.
COASTAL ENGINEER
Senior to Principal
We are looking to expand our coastal leadership as we grow our innovative coastal and nearshore analysis and restoration projects. This position is an excellent opportunity to provide leadership in your design practice with the support of our existing engineers and scientists.
