Claire Johnson

Claire is a wetland scientist with a background in watershed resources and soils. She has a BS in Environmental Science and Terrestrial Resource Management and a Certificate in Wetland Science and Management, both completed at the University of Washington. As a Pacific Northwest local, Claire has explored and worked in a variety of PNW environments. Her passion for preserving watershed resources, environmental protection, and improving quality of life for our community led her to the NSD team.

Claire’s experience includes wetland delineation and functional assessment, stream classification, OHWM delineation, soil carbon sequestration research, geospatial analysis, habitat assessment, mitigation projects, and permitting processes. She has also explored botany, fish biology, forest ecology, wildland firefighting, designing restoration projects, and CAD.
