Rachael is a staff engineer with an educational and professional background in both ecology and engineering. Before joining the NSD team, Rachael worked on beaver coexistence projects throughout Washington that contributed towards healthier and more resilient ecosystems. It was through this work that she became interested in hydrology and hydrodynamics and inspired to return to school to pursue further education in engineering. She holds a B.S. and M.S. from the University of Washington, in biology and civil engineering, respectively. Rachael loves watching landscapes transform through restoration and is excited to contribute to the wide range of projects at NSD.
