Laura is a wetland and riparian biologist and restoration design professional with ten years’ experience in natural resources management. Laura holds a Bachelors Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon, where she focused on ecological assessment and science-driven riparian design. With a professional focus on restoring ecosystem function related to water resources in the Pacific Northwest, Laura has managed and contributed to a variety of projects providing design and drafting, construction management, technical writing, wetland delineation and functional assessment, and mitigation planning. Additionally, Laura is well versed in regulatory compliance and permitting requirements related to stream and wetland habitat restoration and mitigation projects, including Clean Water Act 404 and 401 permits, Hydraulic Project Approval, NEPA, SEPA, and local critical areas ordinances. Utilizing her multidisciplinary background, Laura is able to provide valuable input and technical work at many stages of a project’s lifecycle. Through her proficiency in AutoCAD drafting and construction plan production, Laura incorporates valuable experience and insight on regulatory conditions and environmental compliance to the design, construction, and observation phases of restoration projects. She has strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills, which have proven instrumental in working directly with clients, stakeholders, construction crews, and government officials.
