Miranda Smith is a project engineer with experience working on water resources and heavy civil construction projects. Her work has included watershed investigations, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, fish passage, sediment transport studies, biological field surveys, and rehabilitation and modernization of hydroelectric facilities. She loves spending time on and around rivers and is passionate about sustainable design. Miranda brings experience working on projects with private, local, and federal stakeholders. Her work at NSD includes hydraulic analysis, modeling of rivers and in-stream structures, and project design. Miranda spends her free time with her husband hiking and biking the Pacific Northwest and skiing the Cascades.
